Dedications

It can be hard to keep up with all the people who deserve thanks for their impact in and on Vagabond Creative Entertainment. Because gratitude and appreciation are important to me I’m creating this ongoing page of dedications that I will update as I go.

First and foremost, a love of art and storytelling came from my mom, Lonnie Forbes. My talent for analytical thinking and realism came from my dad, George Forbes. And despite their best efforts, I fell in love with comic books at an early age. I cannot thank them enough for creating a strong foundation for the journey that led me to today.

Second, I owe so much to my absolutely devoted and loving wife, Cathy (Kennerk) Forbes. She treats me like I’m capable of putting something out there people might actually like, which goes a long way to suppressing any feelings of imposter syndrome I might have. I really hope I live up to her faith in me. Also, my kids, Tripp, Donovan, and Maryanne, inspire me every day to inspire them by never giving up my dreams.

Third, my very best friend, Jamie “JB” Bougher, has been my sounding board and writing partner for over three(!) decades. Jamie always pushed me to do better, to be more creative, to solve challenges I wasn’t sure I could, and to remain passionate about storytelling. His wife, Lindsey, stepped right in from day two and became as close a friend and confidante as I could ever have hoped for. He will be joining me on future projects, but his influence is already solidly embedded in everything I do.

Fourth, my very supportive brother, Joe, and his wife, Jennifer, who, along with their kids, have genuinely and enthusiastically (to varying degrees) listened to me drone on and on about my ideas for years. I’m so grateful I can say I have a brother who loves me and sincerely hopes for my success.

As time goes on I’ll be adding more and more dedications. Some will be for people I’ve known a very long time. Others will be for people I’ve only met recently. Below is an imcomplete list of the people who I will expand upon over time, but I don’t want to forget anyone. So this list will grow even as I work through it. Until then, a genuine and heartfelt general thank you to all of you. You are a part of the journey in ways you may never know, and you are with me no matter where you are.
